Cahiers d’Art has long fostered ongoing collaborations with artists through its publications and exhibitions. Renowned figures like Picasso, Miró, Chagall, Léger, and Masson have created exclusive lithographs for Cahiers d’Art, marking a rich tradition of artistic partnership.

Building on this legacy, contemporary artists continue to contribute to the production of lithographs.

Since 2012, artists such as John Giorno, Lucas Arruda, Jenny Holzer, Precious Okoyomon, William Kentridge, Lee Ufan, Kim Yong-Ik, Andreas Eriksson, and Anne Imhof have collaborated with Cahiers d’Art, bringing their unique perspectives and further enriching the Revue’s deep connection to lithography and printmaking.

Our latest collaboration with Rosa Barba

Rosa Barba, born in Italy in 1972 and based in Berlin, explores the intersection of film, sculpture, and installation in her work, often manipulating film strips into sculptural forms. Her collaboration with Cahiers d'Art highlights her unique approach to printmaking. This project resulted in monoprints and limited editions, including pieces inspired by Dora Maar and Picasso’s verre cliché technique. Barba’s prints echo her cinematic vision, translating her sculptural, time-based art into two-dimensional formats while engaging with Cahiers d'Art's historical archives, offering new perspectives on printmaking and artistic experimentation.
