About Cahiers d’Art

Editions Cahiers d’Art, founded in 1926 by Christian Zervos in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, is a distinguished publisher of the visual arts, combining a publishing house, gallery, and revue.

Known for its unique blend of striking typography, photography, and the fusion of ancient and modern art, Cahiers d’Art has published ninety-seven issues of its Revue and over fifty books on fine art and architecture, including the thirty-three volume Picasso catalogue raisonné.

Since its relaunch in 2012 by Staffan Ahrenberg, with an editorial board including Sam Keller, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Isabela Mora, and Staffan Ahrenberg, Cahiers d’Art has published works on Ellsworth Kelly, Rosemarie Trockel, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Alexander Calder, and more. The gallery has continuously showcased its published artists, bridging the avant-garde of Picasso, Duchamp, and Le Corbusier with contemporary artists and architects.
