La Revue
La Revue
The first edition of La Revue Cahiers d'Art was published in 1926 and quickly became a seminal art journal, showcasing original works and essays by avant-garde artists like Picasso, Calder, Miró, and Matisse, along with poems by Paul Eluard and Char, and photographs by Dora Maar and Man Ray.
The 97 issues published until 1960 are now highly prized by researchers.
Revived in 2012, La Revue remains a cutting-edge editorial space.
The thirteen new issues feature collaborations with contemporary artists such as Ellsworth Kelly, Rosemarie Trockel, Philippe Parreno, Arthur Jafa and Hiroshi Sugimoto, to name just a few.
Each edition serves as an 'editorial carte blanche' often created in direct collaboration with the artist, presenting rarely seen works, photos, literary excerpts, and revealing interviews.
